My China Experience

As much as I want to write about my travel experiences, but I am not good in writing those things...hehe...

I will try anyway.. (so much about emotional again..)

I just came back from 10- days china trip on May 13-22,2010. It was fun and adventurous experience as it was my first time to travel alone. I learned a lot from being independent, meeting new friends, touring around with lots of photo memories, getting to know one another, and many more. At first, I had a difficult time to mingle with them, but as time went by, I got used to it. I don't mind being a late bloomer, as long as I want to learn something, I will catch it up. From this trip, we traveled Beijing, Fu Zhou, Quan Zhou, Jin Jiang, and Xiamen. My favorite activity was archery and it was my first time to try (Wish that it is available in manila) and I love it so much. This archery represents in me as I always think of myself as a warrior. A warrior at heart. So, this archery reminds me to keep it grounded no matter what. I also enjoy bonding with my new members - my group and my new teacher... love, love it...I almost wanted to cry when I was back here because it was my first time to experience an outgoing life, given the fact, that I wanted to make it up from the things I hadn't enjoyed myself before. I hope the succeeding one will be the same again... I wish I wish...

My Dad's Birthday

Today is my dad's birthday! I thank him for all his neverending support, his unconditional love, sacrifice, & care even though he is no longer at my side now but his spirit is alive & I always feel his presence by staying beside me or hugging me every now & then to ease my pain & comfort. Now, he wants me to learn on my own but he will guide me along the way when needed. I am glad that I learn a lot of priceless lessons from him. Sad to say that he is not a physically presence which I want to have a chitchat with him. Thanks Dad for giving me such an opportunity to teach me all the lessons and experiences in a short span of time before you left in this world. Now, I am trying to decode your final and unfinished words in which you want me to do it for you when the time is right.

Dad, I want you to live in peace. I am blessed to have you as my great dad... Thank you for everything. I understand that you are worry about me until now... But I want to say that I can do this in spite of having limitations and problems. I try my best. I don't know what to say now, Dad. I miss you so much!

Signs of the Times

Too bad, I wasn't able to attend the conference of Joel Rosenberg who wrote a bestselling book titled "Epicentre" . See, this site at Sign of the Times Philippines for more information. I just want to find out if this is worth reading it. Because I am trying to connect the dots on the main scenario on what is happening in our world. Seems like coincidental... hmmm...

We have nothing to do if something happens to us, the only we do is pray and meditate ourselves to survive. That's the only way we can do and we need to do good deeds even during the crisis or downturns because you never know that God tests us of our faith... Right?

For now, I don't want to discuss further about what I know as I don't want everyone to give me bad reactions regarding this. hehe.. If you want to know more about the prophesies, you may check out the articles of Jaime Licauco and Mayan Prophesy on the net.

Time to Recreate Myself 2010

It's a new year again! Well, time is swiftly fast! And now, I am getting older. hehe..

So, What's new? I observed that most people jot down many lists of resolution for this year to promise themselves to change into a better person and to find their dreams come true.

I, for one, don't write a resolution anymore because if I do, it will never work for me. I tried already many many times!!!. So, what I do now is that I go with the flow, finish where I started, start making plans, and if ever I can make money out of my talents! hehe..

Here are the things I want to do this year 2010:
1) finish my postgrad at U.P.
2) going out with friends (mostly reunion)
3) donate stuffs/money to charities
4) photography class
5) Read Books( well, I will struggle to read books every week, need to add up my vocabulary!)
6) Tony Buzan Class( still thinking if it is worth it.)
7) do blogging (struggle to write in order to improve my English!) and meet/share new friends here.
8) travelling (I want to enjoy my life this year before settle down.)
9) cooking ( I want to learn so I can eat what I want! hehe)
10) Diet (I want to lose weight for at least 10 pounds, but seems like it is hard.) Any ideas?
11) Biskram Yoga (I wish! )
12) Buy a backup camera (still thinking of S90 or LX3) - hmmm....
13) Looking for right beauty products to address my acne prone skin (due to hormone imbalance and PMS) - skin care, mineral makeup, non greasy sunblock, and so on!

Hope everything is going well this year. I know it is hard to discipline as well as control myself to achieve these goals but I have to do so... It's time to re-create myself! =)

Canon S90 vs Panasonic LX3

I am thinking of buying a new camera. This new camera will serve as my backup camera from DSLR. So, I can take anywhere I want. Although I am not good photographer but still willing to learn as much as I can until I find my own niche.

Here are my needs:
1) can be used macro photography with blur background
2) all around purpose - from day to night, indoors, and all weather conditions.(including wide angle- telephoto)
3) small and pocketable that can slip inside my bag. No Bulky!
4) Price must be affordable.
5) Image Quality is superb even in low light conditions.
6) If possible, avoid using the LR or photoshop for editing due to hectic schedule.

After searching for a long time, I narrow it down to S90 and LX3. But it is hard to pick the right one as both cameras are at par.

Here are things that I got information from all websites including blogs:

S90
- shirt pocketable
- no hotshoe, no viewfinder
- zoom range to 3.8x
- 28mm wide angle
- RAW capability with low light performance but limited
- Image Quality is crisper and sharper images
- Price is very expensive.

LX3
- very warmer color but sharper and detailed images
- Raw Capability.
- zoom range limited to 60x
- 24mm wide angle
- not pocketable
- with hotshoe and viewfinder
- has continuous shooting performance.
- price is expensive too even after a year old.

So, what did I use? I want S90 because of pocketability but the price is very expensive even if there are lack of features. If I want to get a LX3, I should get the second hand one since I am not good in manual controls plus it is already a year old. I ended not to choose anything since these two cameras are at war. For me, I'll rather wait for prices to go down or wait for new cameras to come out. Unless, you have good suggestions for me. I am open to that. hehe

I read this book last week. For the first time, I love this story. Although I have never been boyfriend since birth, so I can't relate my experiences with this story except one. But reading this will help me to get the lessons about true love. Pilar, the protagonist, is a very brave woman, she is able to write her own story, toss it on the river, and be free of it. I, myself, want to write my own story so I can be free but wasn't able to find a safe place to toss it off. Thus, I am not yet move on. So for now, I guess this new blog can help me to free myself from attachments, conflicts, and other distractions. Another thing, what I like about Pilar is that she is very witty and smart, who can take risks of having love and enjoy every bit of it (inspite of many doubts, risks, distractions, and negative emotions). Maybe I should be like Pilar in order to have one? hehe.. That's kidding, in this real world, there is no fairytale stories. There are more interesting quotes for you to learn about the real meaning of love but I leave it for you to read it.

Welcome to 2010! It is my first time to have a serious blog here. I will share everything I know under the sun.

Here are my reasons of having own blog:

1) I want to get out of boredom of being a loner. So maybe having this blog as my journal will help me to move on with my life.

2) I am still striving hard to get out of my old habits. How? Reading inspirational/ self-help books will help me t learn more wisdoms and the mysteries about life.

3) Short of social life. Due to chinese culture, I seldom to go out but I do my best to learn something new and try it out.

4) Finding the the real "ME". I am finding the right path for me. So, expect taking risks and conflicts.
